<h2>IAM Offerings for Hybrid and Electric Vehicles</h2>
<p>To support the maintenance and repair of electric and hybrid vehicles in the independent aftermarket, Valeo offers an extensive portfolio of over 6,000 essential references.</p>
<p>This includes filtration systems, wipers, brake pads, discs, calipers, and thermal solutions such as e-compressors, radiators, and condensers. All of these are designed to ensure vehicle reliability and extend service life. </p>
<p>The large range of condensers currently covers more than 8 million electric and hybrid vehicles across Europe, with plans to increase this coverage to 10 million by the end of 2024.</p>

<h2>Valeo’s Latest Product Launches: Chillers &amp; Compressors</h2>
<p>Valeo announces that its cutting-edge chiller—, crucial for battery thermal management in electric and hybrid vehicles—, is available for the most popular electric vehicle in Europe, the VW ID.3. Additionally, the plan is to launch four new chillers by the second quarter of 2025 designed for Hyundai models like the Ioniq, Kona, and Tucson, as well as the Kia Niro.</p>
<p>Valeo is also expanding its offer for electric and hybrid vehicles with five new electric driven compressors designed specifically to fit the latest "eTech" platform from Renault. This includes the Kadjar, Scenic, Captur, Arkana models, as well as the highly popular Tesla Model 3 and some applications from Kia and Hyundai.</p>

<h2>Oil Pumps &amp; 48V Technology</h2>
<p>In July, Valeo launched electric oil pumps for popular models such as the BMW X3 and Audi Q5.</p>
<p>Furthermore, the 48V DC-DC converter references 597202 and 597203, suitable for the Fiat 500, Peugeot 208, Citroen C5, and many other applications, will be launched during the first quarter of 2025. </p>
<p>As 48V technology is mentioned, it’s important to note that Valeo also offers a wide range of 48V iBSG systems. This is crucial as the car park is primarily evolving through mild hybrid vehicles.</p>

<h2>Brake Pads, Cables, and Mobile Chargers</h2>
<p>With 222 references and 92% electric and hybrid vehicle coverage, Valeo’s new brake pads range will account for over 15 million European vehicles. The e-performance brake pads use soft friction materials composed of carbons and ceramics that absorb noise and vibrations made during braking.</p>
<p>Lastly, Valeo offers a range of cables and mobile chargers for electric and hybrid vehicles, featuring 12 charging cable references and 15 mobile charger references in various lengths and charging speeds. They are fully compatible with all rechargeable vehicles.</p>

<h2>The Future is Getting Brighter</h2>
<p>By 2030, <strong>93% of all new cars will include a form of electrification</strong> and one-third of the European car parc will consist of electrified vehicles (either fully electric or hybrid).</p>

<p>This is good news. Electrification is emerging as the most viable, affordable, and energy-efficient solution to reducing the carbon footprint of the automotive industry, which currently stands at about <strong>18% of global CO<sub>2</sub> emissions</strong>.</p>

<h2>Levels of Electrification</h2>
<p>When discussing “<strong>electrification</strong>,” many immediately think of fully electric vehicles, but it encompasses much, much more.</p>

<p>The current and future car parcs include <strong>multiple levels of electrification</strong>: low-voltage systems like 48V mild hybrids (combining small electric motors with internal combustion engines for improved fuel efficiency), high-voltage systems like 400V and 800V for both full and plug-in hybrids, and fully electric vehicles.</p>

<p>Valeo is proposing a massive extension on its EGR valve coverage, with <strong>46 new references</strong> being launched this spring.</p>

<p>In answer to the needs of a car parc that is mainly made up of combustion engines, Valeo will propose <strong>85 EGR references for Europe, covering more than 80 million vehicles.</strong></p>

<h2>Valeo involved in the circular economy of ebikes</h2>

Valeo and Smovengo, the operator of Vélib' Métropole, the self-service bicycle hire scheme run by the City of Paris and 64 of its communes, have joined forces to recondition the motors and batteries of the 8,000 electric Velibs that ply the streets of Greater/Grand Paris. </p>

<p>In May 2024, Valeo enlarged its exhaust gas temperature (EGT) sensor range, with a huge extension of <strong>145 references</strong>. This brought Valeo’s total portfolio for EGT sensors to 265, covering <strong>79 million vehicles </strong>in Europe.</p>

<p>As electric vehicles become increasingly popular, the number of vehicles on the road continues to grow. According to Frost &amp; Sullivan’s report “European PHEV/BEV Aftermarket Growth Opportunities”, by 2030, <strong>84% of vehicles made in Europe will be electrified </strong>and heading towards either 48V or fully electric.</p>

<h2>High Grade Materials</h2>
<p>While combustion engines are noisy and a bumpy ride, drivers of electric vehicles are able to get the exact driving experience everyone longs for—silent and comfortable. <h2>Time for an Upgrade</h2>
<p>As with other Valeo premises in and around Paris, the time had come to refurbish the Saint-Denis offices in Campus Pleyad – a site which has been a part of Valeo’s operation since 2008.</p>

<h2>Many Teams, One Location</h2>
<p>Located on the northern outskirts of Paris, near the historic birthplace of the Valeo Group (founded in 1923 in Saint-Ouen), Valeo Service Saint-Denis covers 4,000 m² and accommodates 310 employees. Various Valeo Aftermarket teams and support functions are based there.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>What’s more, the site hosts Valeo Service's Technical Center, which will soon be welcoming garage employees for face-to-face training as part of the Tech Academy program.</p>

<h2>A Collaborative Effort</h2>
<p>Eric Schuler felt it incredibly important to listen to employees’ expectations and needs., Each department therefore had the opportunity to express suggestions to an ambassador working in the core team of the “Pleyel Garden” project.</p>

<p>The floor plans were designed to optimize collaboration between departments that often work together, and new spaces created for today’s working methods.</p>

<p>This means spaces that are more comfortable, quieter, more intimate, and more visually pleasing. There are new spaces for both discreet formal and informal conversations, as well as for hybrid meetings, which did not exist before.</p>

<h2>Sustainable Building Practices</h2>
<p>All of the work on the Pleyel Garden project was done with a sustainable approach in mind. Neon lights were replaced by LED lights, bathrooms renovated to minimize water consumption and IT systems upgraded. </p>

<p>Disposable cups and glasses have been replaced by long-lasting reusable glasses which employees can clean themselves using the Auum technology of disinfection with dry steam heated to over 140°C. </p>
<p> </p>
<p>Other improvements include greening office spaces and providing standing desks to every single employee.</p>

<h2>Ready for the Future</h2>
<p>All in all, the stunning success of the Pleyel Garden Project means a better working environment for Valeo Service employees which, according to <strong>Min Zhu, General Manager of Valeo Service Smart Mobility</strong>, <em>“inspire collaboration, creativity and well-being! Now we're going to make these spaces our own, creating memorable moments of collective success for the future.”</em></p>


On May 30th 2024, Valeo Service inaugurated its refurbished offices in Saint-Denis, a site which has been a part of Valeo’s operations since 2008.
