Evaporator Sensors Air Conditioning for Cars
The evaporator sensor is a temperature sensor in the car air conditioning system.
The car A/C evaporator sensor has different roles:
- Detecting the evaporator temperature
- Preventing the evaporator from freezing by stopping cold generation
The location of the evaporator sensor varies:
- Option 1: The sensor is located in front of the air stream exiting the evaporator
- Option 2: The sensor is attached to the coldest area of the evaporator fins
