<h2>IAM Offerings for Hybrid and Electric Vehicles</h2>
To support the maintenance and repair of electric and hybrid vehicles in the independent aftermarket, Valeo offers an extensive portfolio of over 6,000 essential references.
This includes filtration systems, wipers, brake pads, discs, calipers, and thermal solutions such as e-compressors, radiators, and condensers. All of these are designed to ensure vehicle reliability and extend service life. 
The large range of condensers currently covers more than 8 million electric and hybrid vehicles across Europe, with plans to increase this coverage to 10 million by the end of 2024.
 
<h2>Valeo’s Latest Product Launches: Chillers &amp; Compressors</h2>
Valeo announces that its cutting-edge chiller—, crucial for battery thermal management in electric and hybrid vehicles—, is available for the most popular electric vehicle in Europe, the VW ID.3. Additionally, the plan is to launch four new chillers by the second quarter of 2025 designed for Hyundai models like the Ioniq, Kona, and Tucson, as well as the Kia Niro.
Valeo is also expanding its offer for electric and hybrid vehicles with five new electric driven compressors designed specifically to fit the latest "eTech" platform from Renault. This includes the Kadjar, Scenic, Captur, Arkana models, as well as the highly popular Tesla Model 3 and some applications from Kia and Hyundai.
 
<h2>Oil Pumps &amp; 48V Technology</h2>
In July, Valeo launched electric oil pumps for popular models such as the BMW X3 and Audi Q5.
Furthermore, the 48V DC-DC converter references 597202 and 597203, suitable for the Fiat 500, Peugeot 208, Citroen C5, and many other applications, will be launched during the first quarter of 2025. 
As 48V technology is mentioned, it’s important to note that Valeo also offers a wide range of 48V iBSG systems. This is crucial as the car park is primarily evolving through mild hybrid vehicles.
 
<h2>Brake Pads, Cables, and Mobile Chargers</h2>
With 222 references and 92% electric and hybrid vehicle coverage, Valeo’s new brake pads range will account for over 15 million European vehicles. The e-performance brake pads use soft friction materials composed of carbons and ceramics that absorb noise and vibrations made during braking.
Lastly, Valeo offers a range of cables and mobile chargers for electric and hybrid vehicles, featuring 12 charging cable references and 15 mobile charger references in various lengths and charging speeds. They are fully compatible with all rechargeable vehicles.

Made up of three parts—a plenary conference in Budapest, onsite workshops and the visit of Valeo’s Veszprém Factory, a multi-products site that specializes in the production of high-voltage technologies and systems for well-known automotive car makers. 
 
The EV Tech Days showcased Valeo’s approach to High Voltage Powertrain Electrification and its associated Thermal Management,48V Hybrid Technology, and EV Training with Valeo's Tech Academy.
 
<h2>The Future is Getting Brighter</h2>
By 2030, 93% of all new cars will include a form of electrification and one-third of the European car parc will consist of electrified vehicles (either fully electric or hybrid).
 
This is good news. Electrification is emerging as the most viable, affordable, and energy-efficient solution to reducing the carbon footprint of the automotive industry, which currently stands at about 18% of global CO2 emissions.
 
<h2>Levels of Electrification</h2>
When discussing “electrification,” many immediately think of fully electric vehicles, but it encompasses much, much more.
 
The current and future car parcs include multiple levels of electrification: low-voltage systems like 48V mild hybrids (combining small electric motors with internal combustion engines for improved fuel efficiency), high-voltage systems like 400V and 800V for both full and plug-in hybrids, and fully electric vehicles.
 
Valeo’s strength lies in its ability to support all of these levels of electrification.
 
<h2>A Pioneer in Electrification</h2>
As a pioneer in electrification for over 20 years, Valeo has continually introduced innovative solutions for electrified vehicles. A brief history shows that:
 
<ul><li>In 2004, Valeo created the iStARS system, a belt starter/alternator that optimizes Stop-Start functionality.</li>
	<li>In 2012, Valeo launched its 48V Belt Starter Generator (iBSG), providing mild-hybrid solutions.</li>
	<li>In 2016, Valeo oversaw the creation of the Valeo Siemens eAutomotive JV.</li>
	<li>And now, in 2024, Valeo is set to produce the next generation of “rare-earth-free” electric motors with Renault.</li>
</ul> 
As of today, one-third of the world’s vehicles are equipped with Valeo electrics, from alternators right through to high-voltage systems.
 
<h2>Leveling Up Mechanics’ Skills</h2>
To meet the evolving needs of the industry, Valeo launched the Valeo Tech Academy, an innovative training program that offers both digital and in-person learning.
 
With one in two mechanics unable to maintain or repair electric vehicles, Valeo is committed to leveling up and supporting the aftermarket beyond just supplying spare parts.
 
Ultimately, Valeo’s goal is very simple—to help build the sustainable mobility of tomorrow. And over the course of the EV Tech Days, Valeo was able to demonstrate and share its simple vision for the future.

Almost 30,000 children suffer road accidents in Germany every year, a statistic TEILEn e.V. wants to drastically change. And with their “Roter Ritter Mobil” — a traffic school on wheels — they aim to do just that.
 
Given to police authorities and traffic wardens to use on traffic safety days in day-care centres and schools, these traffic schools are already helping improve road safety in many regions across Germany.

<h2>Valeo Extends its EGR Range</h2>
Valeo is proposing a massive extension on its EGR valve coverage, with 46 new references being launched this spring.
 
In answer to the needs of a car parc that is mainly made up of combustion engines, Valeo will propose 85 EGR references for Europe, covering more than 80 million vehicles.
 
This extension completes an exhaust offer that has been expanding year after year, with the launch of 355 oxygen sensor references in 2021/22 and 265 EGT sensor references in 2023.
